About the app

At present, FynScribe is a lite, easy to use, and straight-forward note-taking app.  Throughout the development of this app, we've swapped over and become early adopters ourselves and have made use of many of its features.  Whether it's using sticky notes to quickly jot down a phone number for a call we need to make, or utilizing the unlimited notebooks and pages to store and search through all of our educational notes.  

In the future, we plan to roll out a mobile version that will allow you to engage with your notes dynamically, no matter where you are or what connection you have.

Where you need it & When you need it

At 1.0 launch FynScribe will be released for Windows 10 and up. We also hope to have mobile released by q1 2026 or earlier on Android and iOS.  With the mobile version, our goal is to ensure that once a note is synced to your device, it will be available regardless of network connection.

Meet the team

Our team consists of the 3 co-founders of Vulpisoft: Jaicila, Jessi, and Phill. The team came together after realizing we all had the same major gripes with the software industry: a total lack of transparency and a lack of consideration for the needs of the consumers of said industry.

And thus we decided to start Vulpisoft LLC: A software company founded in Casper Wyoming.

Jaicila McSparin, the head of design for the company, has always been a creative type. A licensed professional in the beauty industry, and former design artist for another software company. Though because of her creativity, she often felt disorganized with all of her ideas. Constantly having to write things down and organize her thoughts in some way to ensure they could be useful later. Enter: FynScribe™. Being a part of this project has allowed her to explore her passion for art and design, plus dive a little deeper into the tech programs she enjoys. Through creating different design elements for Vulpisoft LLC she's been able to help build just the program that will keep her organized in the future, and as a result; become a better (more organized) artist.

Jessi McKissick, the head of software development for the company, began programming at the "ripe old age" of 9 on a hand me down computer built from scrap yard parts. The sheer mysticism of the strange operating system the salvaged hardware held created a life long passion for computing and technical work that truly gained momentum in the late 2010s when Jessi was awarded a Google web development program scholarship. Since 2019 Jessi has been an active programmer creating several software packages and even working on notable open source projects such as the Open Learning Exchanges software "Planet" which provides a learning management system in low income areas and nations.

Phill Lambert, the head of security for the company began their IT security journey when they accidentally discovered that mail programs had daemons in them. While not fully aware how these differentiated from their Greek mythological name sakes, a passion for IT began that has only grown over the decades. Phill would eventually wind up working as a Sec analyst before their move into retail management. Over the years they have utilized many different means of taking notes and managing productivity.

Frequently Asked Questions

What do you mean by transparency?

One of our biggest gripes with other companies is the lack of transparency. Only finding out about what's in an update after its been released, or submitting a security issue and never hearing back have made it seem like we don't matter to the companies we've used in the past. Our goal is to be different, and focus on our customers.

What languages are supported?

At present, the interface is only localized to English, but the app's search and note entry will take any characters. From Hiragana to Ancient Mesopotamian Cuneiform, your notes are as safe as Ea Nasir's Bronze review! More languages will be added as the application matures.

Other apps have [feature], why don't you??

By investing in us, you have a seat at the table as part of not only our end-users, but also your input will be treated as an internal R&D note. This means as more users request features, the more resources we'll dedicate to finding ways to implement them!

What kind of customization is available?

We started with Dark mode first- because it's easy on the eyes like our donors, and implemented light mode for those cool cats and kittens that like to wear their sunglasses inside. After launch, as we receive feedback we plan to implement more themes and customization options.

Was AI used anywhere in this application?

Artificial sweetener was used, but artificial intelligence was not allowed by any member of the development team.

What if I don't like a future update?

We all have our differences, and that's what makes us great. As we work on implementing feedback we plan to be as transparent as possible and will work to add toggles and modularity into the updates, to ensure that your note app, remains /your/ note app.

FynScribe Terms of Service

Welcome to FynScribe, a note-taking software provided by Vulpisoft LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of FynScribe (the "Software"). By purchasing, installing, or using FynScribe, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. License Grant

Subject to your payment of the applicable license fee and your compliance with these Terms, Vulpisoft LLC grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to install and use the software for life and install on an unlimited amount of machines in your ownership. Transferring or sharing your key will result in termination of said key.

2. Restrictions

You agree not to:

1. Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software.

2. Modify or create derivative works of the Software.

3. Distribute, sublicense, rent, lease, or lend the Software to any third party.

4. Use the Software for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

5. Remove or alter any copyright notices or other proprietary markings on the Software.

6. Use the Software in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our servers or networks (even if offline now, this is a standard clause for future online functionality).

3. Payment

You agree to pay the applicable license fee for FynScribe. All fees are non-refundable, except as required by law.

4. Updates and Support

While FynScribe is currently an offline application, Vulpisoft LLC may, at its sole discretion, provide updates and support for the Software. These updates may include bug fixes, new features, or enhancements. You can contact us for support at support@vulpisoft.com.

5. Ownership

Vulpisoft LLC retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the Software, including all intellectual property rights. Your license to use the Software does not grant you any ownership rights in the Software.

6. Disclaimer of Warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. VULPISOFT LLC DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR THAT IT WILL MEET YOUR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VULPISOFT LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SOFTWARE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Wyoming, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

9. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Vulpisoft LLC regarding the Software and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and agreements, whether oral or written.

10. Changes to Terms

Vulpisoft LLC reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will post the updated Terms on our website ([www.vulpisoft.com](https://www.vulpisoft.com)), and the revised Terms will be effective upon posting. Your continued use of the Software after the posting of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
